The regional conference, Momentum for renewables: new opportunities for decision-makers, took place today in Berlin at the invitation of Federal Minister Robert Habeck. Around 150 district commissioners, decision-makers responsible for planning and issuing approvals, and representatives from energy agencies of the Länder, umbrella associations of municipalities and other associations met at the European Energy Forum (EUREF) campus in Berlin-Schöneberg to discuss factors that will make for the successful and necessary acceleration of the expansion of renewable energy.

Robert Habeck said, “The expansion of renewables is a task that concerns us all – the Federal Government, the Länder, municipalities, and citizens. Renewables will benefit Germany and Europe. They help to safeguard our freedom and democracy. It is only with them that we will be able to renew prosperity in our country in a sustainable way.”
